At New Hope, we want to make your visit a great one – easy, straightforward, and uncomplicated. We are intentionally “user-friendly” for everyone regardless of their background. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:
Traditional or Contemporary?
We have two worship services at New Hope, with distinctly different styles. For those who like a traditional worship experience, the 9:30 am service is inviting and casual. You will find pews, a choir and lots of smiling faces. If you appreciate old and new hymn, choir specials and solos, you will be right at home here.
At 11:00 am is the Contemporary Service, for those who like lively Contemporary Christian music. You will notice that everyone is dressed comfortably in everything from “office casual” to jeans and flip-flops. So “come as you are!” The Service begins with upbeat music led by our Praise & Worship Team (drums, guitars, keyboards, vocalists), followed by a welcome and greeting.
Don’t worry, we don’t make you stand and introduce yourself! You can meet Pastor Anthony and mingle with the members and other guests. You might just run into a friend or neighbor.
When you arrive…
When you arrive at New Hope you’ll find ample parking in two lots. Our Traditional service takes place in the original sanctuary which is the first building entrance as you enter either of the parking lots. Our Contemporary service takes place in the former youth center, which is the light colored building in the rear. (Enter from either parking lot.) Upon entering the buildings, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces, a cup of coffee if you like, and a snack. There is a nursery for both services as well as Sunday School at 10:10 am.
The sermon is designed to be Biblically based, relevant to daily life, interesting, and enjoyable. It is scripture driven, often including interesting ideas from contemporary culture, events, songs, or movies. Often there is a video, musical feature or drama to further expand the message of the day.
At the end of service, you should have experienced solid Christian teaching that was understandable and relevant. Our mission is to provide everyone who walks through our door a genuine transformational experience of God. In addition, we want you to experience community and friendship, and we trust you will find genuine warmth and openness at New Hope!
We hope to see you Sunday!
